I have (or have, at one point or another had) way too many pairs of sunglasses. Bit of a fascination of mine, I guess. Anyhoo, I purchased the Black Tortoise/Grey Silver Mirrored Polarized-580g version of these Tybees. They are well built, stylish glasses, but ultimately I did not keep them long. There are two issues that really started to bug me:1) I'm not sure if it was the tortoise color frames or the shape of the glasses, but these seemed to literally COLLECT sunlight at the top of the frames. It's almost like the light colored blobs in the tortoise pattern transmit and diffract light all across the top of the glasses. Or maybe the shape was wrong. I mean, they felt comfortable enough on my face, but maybe they were slightly funnel shaped, just enough to harvest light instead of blocking it. Anyway, I used these exclusively in the car for a few weeks and didn't notice the problem. Why? Because the car's roof blocked overhead sunlight! The few times I wore them outside, I couldn't wait to get them off because they made squinting and light confusion worse, not better.2) The Grey Silver Mirror Polarized lenses are surprisingly "meh." I know that Costa puts a lot of research and development into their 580g lenses... but they also put a lot of marketing into them as well and I'm just not sure that these lenses live up to the hype. Yes, they are glass, so clarity is good. But there seems to be no color separation at all and frankly, at this price range there should be. They are just not very exciting lenses to wear.In the end, I sold them on eBay for less than half what I paid for them. I would have returned them, but as I said above, for the first few weeks I used them exclusively in the car and did not notice the glare from the top until occasion had it that I wore them for a few walkabouts. By that time, the return window had closed. Ooops, my bad.Love the design and colors, the green polarized lenses give you a completely different perspective. Some high quality materials were used as well, have dropped my pair plenty of times and never any chips or deep scratches.I like the fashion the size was a little smallSunglasses came in perfect condition and even came in a little Costa cloth baggie inside a cork case! The quality is what you would expect and the 580g is definitely the way to go for the clearest sight. 10/10 would buy another pair from here.I LOVED these sunglasses but they were large for my petite face so I returned them. I was so bummed. I am a huge fan of Costas but they have limited styles for small faces. These did not stay on my face even if I tried, they slid right off. The gray mirrored lenses were so crisp and clear and the frames were sturdy and trendy. I will be the first in line if Costa makes these in a smaller size. Did I say how bummed I am?? I hope they fit you!My 4th par of Costa’s and the best of all fourDefinitely a must haveFit great and the 580g lens is well worth the price. So damn sharpMuy buena calidad. Los recomiendo
