These are so versatile. Also, they just taste amazing. We have made everything from rice crispy treats to s’mores, or just eating them right out of the package. These will not disappoint not only do they melt, but they feel, and they taste exactly like the gelatin-based marshmallows that we should greatly should never put into our bodies. DidMy mom and I are vegetarian so we avoid gelatin and love that Dandies are gelatin free. They are great for s’mores. Or just to snack on. Only negative thing I could point out is that they don’t have quite the same melt as regular marshmallows so I’m not sure how they would work in certain recipes. But I used the big ones for s’mores and have used the little ones for ambrosia salad and love them. Give them a tryNever be left out of toasting s’mores again and expect others to choose your marshmallows. They are tasty and stay a great consistency. These melt easier if you cut them up. Actually it’s faster and easier just to rip them into several small pieces. I use a little butter on my fingers to keep them from sticking to my fingers as I rip them & I add 1/2 to 3/4 of a stick of butter to the pot (I use regular salted butter) then on low heat I rip em & throw them in the pot as the butter is melting, stirring every now & then. When they melt you have to flip them rather than just stir them so it totally melts what’s on top too. Once they’re melted I add a 1/4 tsp of vanilla (optional but do it if you have it) and about 4 to 4 1/2 cups of Rice Krispies (for 1 bag of dandies) & stir fast. They set up quick so you have to kind of mash them together at the end then dump em into a buttered pan but they come out perfectly & delicious. 2 bags of dandies will make a 9 x 13 pan. One bag makes the smaller square pan. Not sure the size. They also make great s’mores!I'm so happy that Dandies makes such a delicious vegan marshmallow.. these are a staple in my pantry. They require a slightly slower roast to get golden and gooey than the gelatin base marshmallows. They flavor is amazing. I love s'mores and these are the marshmallows I have for my family and friends. Honestly, no one has ever commented on them being different in anyway. I definitely recommend these. Try them out. Dandies won't disappoint! Most delicious marshmallows I've ever eaten. I prefer these marshmallows even though I am not vegan.Because of allergies to the ingredients in most marshmallows I haven't had one in about 3 years. But when I found Dandies IT WAS LOVE AT FIRST BITE! The taste and texture are amazing. I had to stop myself from eating the entire bag in my car.The marshmallows are good but a little too sweet for my taste. They're soft as well. One of the few vegan options available.Massively expensive but as they are a gift it’s not something I’ll ever have to buy again . Nearly £15.00 for two small bags of marshmallows is ridiculous . I’m not sure what I expected but clearly a more substantial amount than what I got . Hopefully the recipient of the gift will enjoy them so that will in some part negate the whopping price tag .Love them but can't say I found them that much better than other vegan marshmallows which I am able to buy at the supermarket. Can't find many this size though. Just a shame about the price. Would deter me from ordering again only due to cost. The product is great! :/So disappointed in the size of these. From the picture I assumed these were a large bag of super sized toasting marshmallows, however they’re the same size as the bags you get at the petrol station. Haven’t opened them yet but even if they tasted like gold £17 is still a huge rip off. Unfortunately there aren’t many other vegetarian alternatives. These are great but very overpriced. They are basically a vegan version of the 90p supermarket bags. I loved them but I’m not sure why omitting gelatine makes them so pricey! Ion terms of delivery they arrived quickly & well packed. You simply can’t get vegan mallows elsewhere. The price is silly, but I pay it each time I need vegan mallows. Feels like sellers are milking it with these but I guess until someone makes something to compete this is the best option.
